Witness artists and sports athletes from around the world compete in a lot of high-class championships. In Gstaad, there are regular sports events like the International Master-Tennis ATP-Tournament J. Safra Sarasin Swiss Open Gstaad since 1915, the FIVB Beach Volleyball Tournament with the Swatch Major Gstaad since 2009, the annual Polo-Tournament Polo Hublot  Gold Cup since 1995 und the Gstaad Winter Games. 

In 1957 Yehudi Menuhin started with a concert in the Mauritius Church in Saanen. This was the foundation stone and original start of the Gstaad Menuhin Festival & Academy. It takes place in summertime in Gstaad and the Region Saanenland and it is one of the oldest and international most famous festivals of classical music in Europe. In winter lots of people visit the classic concerts of Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad. The Country-Night-Festival takes place in September. The international well known Boarding School of Le Rosey, the Summer Camp of the John F. Kennedy International School are also highlights of Gstaad and its Region Saanenland.
